Job Brief
The Infrastructure Engineer, Network will support and maintain LaVie’s expanding network infrastructure. This entry-level role is suited for candidates with a foundational understanding of networking concepts such as routing, switching, and firewalls and a strong desire to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment.
Job Responsibilities
- • Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- • Monitor network performance and ensure reliable connectivity.
- • Support VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN configurations.
- • Assist in troubleshooting network issues and escalating complex problems when necessary.
- • Support the implementation of network security policies, including access controls and firewall rules.
- • Monitor for security threats and assist in incident response efforts.
- • Help maintain compliance with IT security standards and best practices.
- • Provide support for network-related issues.
- • Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems, working with senior network engineers as needed.
- • Document troubleshooting processes and network configurations.
- • Track network performance and generating reports on utilization and potential issues.
- • Assist in network capacity planning and improvements.
- • Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture and policies.
Job Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, and routing protocols.
- Knowledge of network protocols, VLANs, and TCP/IP configurations.
- Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, and firewall policies.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with network hardware such as Aruba, F5 or Fortinet devices.
- Some experience with configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools.
- Knowledge of wireless networking and network monitoring tools.
- Experience with basic PowerShell scripting for automation. (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Aruba Certified Network Technician (ACNT), Fortinet NSE 4 (preferred) and CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
