Job Brief
The Infrastructure Engineer, System is responsible for assisting in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of Windows systems, virtualization, and enterprise IT solutions, with a strong desire to learn and develop troubleshooting skills. This role involves system maintenance, security, and providing IT support to end-users.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and environments.
- Manage and support Active Directory, including user/group administration and Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Assist in managing physical and virtual servers, including Nutanix, VMware, or Hyper-V environments.
- Monitor system performance, ensure backups and disaster recovery processes are functioning, and apply security patches and antivirus updates.
- Implement basic IT security practices, including access controls, endpoint protection, and routine vulnerability checks.
- Provide technical support by diagnosing hardware and software issues and escalating when necessary.
- Assist in system upgrades, migrations, infrastructure projects, and maintain documentation, monitoring, and basic reporting.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, and user access management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration.
- Familiarity with SAN, NAS, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
- Basic troubleshooting skills using tools such as Event Viewer and Resource Monitor.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+, Nutanix, VMware) are an advantage.
