Job Brief
The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for strategic oversight over large training programs or portfolios. This role sets the direction and vision of the HR Talent Development department, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals and strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage overall training strategy aligned with company goals.
- Forecast/plan for future training needs. Anticipate growth areas.
- Oversee multiple programs: design, delivery, evaluation across departments.
- Lead or mentor other training leaders, specialists.
- Identify/assess training needs; perform gap analysis.
- Design, deploy, monitor/evaluate training programs: workshops, e-learning, orientation, etc.
- Manage budget for training, select vendors, maintain materials; ensure training initiatives deliver ROI.
- Supervise/coordinate trainers or specialists; ensure consistency, quality.
- Keep up-to-date on best practices / training technology. Possibly deliver some trainings themselves.
- Report effectiveness (metrics, ROI, feedback)
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, possibly external partners.
Job Qualifications
- Several years of Learning & Development and training experience
- Strong skills in instructional design, adult learning, facilitation, and training administration
- Effective leadership and cross-department collaboration
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Communication, or a related field
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
- Proven team leadership and coaching abilities
- Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills
- Data-driven decision-making capability
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
