Senior Specialist, Network

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and deploy network upgrades or expansions.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
• Perform regular network audits, backups, and updates.
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users regarding network issues.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Specialist, Network Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network hardware.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
