Malate got a little more magical last weekend as LaVie Resort and Casino Manila turned up the fright and fun with LaVie Fest: Wicked Weekend.

The city’s favorite street fair in Manila transformed Pedro Gil Street into a whimsical Halloween wonderland filled with treats, music, costumes, and good company. It was part eerie, part enchanting, and entirely unforgettable.

As the afternoon sun set behind the skyline of Manila, the vendors began showing off their creative flair. This week’s theme brought out the best in booth design — each stall dressed in spooky decor that would make any haunted house proud.

Halloween-inspired food stalls served delicious treats, local crafters sold handmade trinkets, and coffee booths offered rich brews that kept visitors buzzing. Some booths were draped in spiderwebs, others lit by flickering candles and jack-o’-lanterns. This gave the Malate street fair its “thrill meets chill” vibe.

Guests wandered from stall to stall, sampling local street food, desserts, and pastries, all while taking photos against the hauntingly good backdrops. It was part street market, part art exhibit — and all community fun.

Costume Competition: Where Creativity Comes Alive

What’s Halloween without a little friendly competition? The highlight of the weekend was the LaVie Fest Costume Contest, open to both kids and adults.

The kids arrived dressed in spooky costumes. Each of them paraded proudly down Pedro Gil with candy in hand.

On the other hand, the adults turned the night into a catwalk of creativity. They showed off elaborate costumes ranging from movie villains to iconic horror figures.

Every smile, scream, and flash of color showed how LaVie Fest has become more than just a street fair in Malate — it’s a celebration of imagination and community. Winners took home prizes for Best in Costume and Best Booth Design.

A Thrilling Night of Dance and Energy

As night fell, the music started pumping, and the street came alive with rhythm. A zombie-themed dance group graced the stage, which turned the street into an undying performance.

After that dazzling performance, the spotlight turned to LaVie Vibes. They’re LaVie Resort and Casino Manila’s own dance troupe, who electrified the stage with their high-energy routines. Guests clapped, danced, and laughed along as performers filled the evening with contagious energy.

Under the soft glow of streetlights and the beat of party music, LaVie Fest once again proved why it’s becoming one of the best weekend events in Manila — blending local culture, food, and entertainment into one festive mix.

The Best of the Bewitching Night

Before the night ended, the winners of the Costume Contest and Best Booth Design were announced. The winners all deserved a moment of spotlight for the participants who poured their creativity into every detail.

From intricately made masks to booths that looked like mini haunted houses, every effort added to the magic of the evening. Visitors gathered around, cheering, taking photos, and soaking in the festive spirit that only LaVie Fest can deliver.
